Lincoln’s Best &
Worst Buildings
Lincoln is a city of contrasts - we have some of the best architecture in the country - and some of the worst. But which qualifies as which seems to divide people. So what do you think is Lincoln’s best building - and its ugliest?
To some, the Lincoln Hotel is an unsightly scar on the Cathedral Quarter - to others it’s a classic piece of 1960s modernism. Some love the modern, clean lines of the University’s School of Architecture - others think it gives architecture a bad name. And what about the neon-lit Odeon on the Brayford, the “Ryvita House” police station or The Collection?
